• Defended Bech-Bruun, one of Denmark’s largest law firms, through its professional liability insurer, against a claim for damages estimated at DKK 1.35 billion from the Danish tax authorities concerning legal advice provided by Bech-Bruun to a German bank, North Channel Bank, in 2014.
  
• Acting in litigation counsel to Nordea in one of the largest AML criminal cases will begin in the Copenhagen City Court in May 2025 and is expected to run over the next 13 months, including 75 days in court. Nordea is charged with violating the Danish AML act, including double-digit billion worth of transactions.
  
• Represented Kg BidCo ApS, which is owned by the major private equity fund FSN Capital, in proceedings before the Western High Court concerning a damage claim of approx. EUR 87 million against the Swedish private equity fund Procuritas, among others, in relation to the fraudulent sale of Danish company Gram Equipment in 2017.

• Advising Danske Bank A/S in one of Denmark’s largest securities litigations, defending six consolidated mass actions comprising 312 cases and c.DKK 12.8bn in shareholder claims alleging disclosure and governance breaches linked to AML issues at the former Estonian branch.
  
• Advising Carnegie Investment Bank and Morgan Stanley & Co. International plc in two landmark Danish litigations alleging prospectus liability arising from OW Bunker A/S’s 2014 IPO, brought by Danish and international institutional investors and raising novel questions on international banks’ due diligence obligations in Danish listings.
  
• Advising Deloitte in highstakes auditorliability proceedings, including the OW Bunker litigation (with High Court and Supreme Court dismissals reducing claims to c.DKK 1.2bn and disciplinary rulings remitted) and a pending Altor/Tresu dispute over alleged misstatements in audited reports, involving complex accounting standards and extensive expert evidence.

• Defended a Danish client in an ICC arbitration regarding alleged defects and late delivery, where counterparty’s claims were dismissed in their entirety and client’s claims were awarded in full.
  
• Represented a Swedish supplier in international arbitration proceedings resulting in an award of approximately USD 75 million against a Danish manufacturer.
  
• Advises the Danish Chamber of Commerce regarding numerous legal issues arising from the destruction by fire of Copenhagen’s Old Stock Exchange.

• Represents Energy Transition Minerals in a landmark USD 10bn dispute against Greenland and Denmark concerning a blocked rare earths mining project. The firm leads the high-stakes international investment arbitration and parallel 2024 litigation in Denmark and Greenland, making it the largest claim ever pursued in Danish legal history.
  
• Acts for former Danske Bank CEO Thomas Borgen in highly complex litigation arising from alleged AML failures at the bank’s Estonian branch. Multiple Danish suits seek more than DKK 1.2 billion, alongside related securities actions totalling over DKK 16 billion. Parallel international proceedings have unfolded, with the U.S. case dismissed on the merits.
  
• Represents British American Tobacco in challenging a Danish act that introduces restrictions on e-cigarettes, tobacco heating products, and nicotine pouches, including plain packaging, flavour bans, retail display bans, and advertising restrictions on the basis that these measures violate fundamental rights like trademark and freedom of speech, as well as the Danish constitution and EU law principles of free movement of goods.

• Representing Altor Fund II GP Ltd. and OW Lux S.ár. l in a complex litigation before The Eastern High Court of Denmark – one of the highest matter values ever to be litigated inDenmark, part of which has gone all the way to The Supreme Court.
  
• Representing the Governments of Greenland and Denmark in a very complex arbitration regarding the rights to mine mineral in Greenland – probably the largest matter in both Danish and Greenland dispute resolution history.
  
• Representing the Ministry of Defence in a EUR 134 million (approx. GBP 114 million) dispute against the weapons manufacturer Nexter, which has received considerable media attention, with numerous commentators attributing the controversy surrounding it as a significant factor in the resignation of former Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Jakob Elleman Jensen.

• Represented a world-leading biogas producer in a major and complex DKK 365+ million post-M&A dispute regarding one of its acquisitions.
  
• Representing a major American aerospace and defence technology company in a highly complex lawsuit against a Danish ministry regarding the legality of an annulment of a tender related to a framework agreement, which holds a potential value of DKK 1.3 billion.
  
• Advising a former board member and founder of a large company regarding the potential liability of the management with an expected claim in the excess of DKK 100 million.

• Representing BCHG group, owner of Scandinavia’s biggest exhibition hall, the Bella Centre in Copenhagen, in a heated battle with a former minority owner in the High Court in December 2024. This matter was of huge importance to BCHG which would have gone bankrupt had it lost. The Bech-Bruun team led BCHG to victory, being awarded twice the normal legal costs in compensation to the client.
  
• Representing the estate of Thor Shipping and Sofia Shipping in a number of disputes worth DKK 400 million, involving clawback claims originating from the bankruptcy of the clients, as well as in directors and officers (D&O) claims against former management.
  
• Representing Udviklingsselskabet By & Havn I/S (City & Harbor) in an enormous, unprecedented environmental dispute with The Danish Climate Movement regarding the artificial peninsula “Lynetteholm” – 275 hectares of new land for Copenhagen, built with soil from local construction projects, for storm-surge protection. This is valued at over DKK 4.2 billion.

• Represents Foreningen Kræv Licensmoms Tilbage in a group action brought on behalf of 283,000 individuals against the Danish tax authorities concerning the alleged unlawful collection of VAT on license fees paid to the Danish Broadcasting Corporation. It is the largest mass claim in Danish legal history.
  
• Represents a telecommunication company in two high-profile disputes with another telecommunications company involving exclusivity provisions, payment claims, and competitive access in the Danish telecommunications market.
  
• Represents Tandlægeforeningen (the Danish Dental Association) in multiple high-stakes proceedings, including a case brought by the five Regions (government entities) of Denmark.

• Representing one of the largest recycling companies in Denmark in a compensation case against Slagelse Municipality with a case value of DKK 40.000.000.
  
• Represented the bankruptcy estate of the venture fund Black Swan Investments A/S in a case against the company’s former attorney. The court found in favour of the estate, holding that the attorney had acted negligently and was liable for the significant losses incurred.

• Assisted the Nordic retail chain, Dollarstore, in a cross country product imitation dispute regarding an alleged copy right infringement of 7 products of Søstrene Grene A/S in the Denmark and Sweden. Before finally settled, the dispute was pending in the Danish probate court system, with the High Eastern Court and with the Maritime and Commercial Court.
  
• Assisting the two companies that have been sued for EUR 536,000.00 and which have filed an additional independent claim against the plaintiff for payment of EUR 268,000.00. The case also concerns a dispute over the development of a comprehensive IT system for vote management.

• Representing Metroselskabet in unprecedented construction arbitration proceedings worth approx. EUR 800 million against Copenhagen Metro Team, involving claims for alleged extra works, delay and disruption on the Cityringen project. A nine-week hearing on initial claims totalling EUR 235 million plus interest concluded in Q2 2025, with a partial award pending.
  
• Representing Odense Tramway in arbitration against COMSA concerning alleged extra works and a year-long extension of time linked to COVID-19 and approval delays, with Odense counterclaiming for defects and delay penalties. The case may set Denmark’s first legal precedent on COVID-19 entitlement. VILTOFT also achieved a favourable settlement in related Barslund bankruptcy proceedings.
  
• Representing a consortium of technical consultants who have designed the new emergency hospital in Viborg, called Akutcenter Viborg in a cross-border matter involving arbitration proceedings against Region Midtjylland, which is claiming DKK 85+ million in damages due to design defects and budget overruns.

• Represented AIG and Danish energy company Ørsted in a landmark case before the Danish Supreme Court concerning employer liability during mandatory emergency drills.
  
• Representing German insurer Württembergische Versicherung in an ongoing matter concerning insurance coverage for damages arising from an alleged theft of a yacht. The case involves complex questions of policy interpretation and evidentiary assessment, and is expected to clarify key aspects of coverage under marine insurance policies.
  
• Represented Unicon in a significant environmental liability case before the Danish Supreme Court. The matter concerned a diesel spill caused by a third-party delivery error, raising questions of strict liability under the Environmental Damage Compensation Act and general tort principles.

• Representing 314 investors against Danske Bank in a case regarding a secondary market claim of EUR 1 billion following the uncovering of the bank’s AML scandal in Estonia in 2018.
  
• Representing a real estate developer in an arbitration against a former partner regarding a cooperation agreement. The case value was EUR 20 million and the case was being heard by an ad hoc arbitration. A very satisfying settlement was reached in August 2025.
  
• Representing the management of the utility company Odsherred Forsyning, which experienced serious financial problems after rolling out a district heating project. Losses are claimed to be in the level of + EUR 100 million.
